Strawberries for the Perfect Summer

What’s an English summer without delightful ruby red strawberries adorning our dessert bowls? Here at The Bell Inn, we love strawberry season – and even if skies are grey, these fruits bring the taste of sunshine to our menu.

We’ve sourced the sweetest strawberries in The New Forest and used them to delicious effect in our seasonal interpretation of an English trifle.

Our chef has whipped them into a velvety mousse, sitting on a light sponge base, topped with crème brulee and Pimms Syrup and, of course, finished with New Forest strawberries.

If you prefer a mouthwatering drink, or want to round off your meal in style, then we have the answer – our refreshing Strawberry Cocktail.

This strawberry and bourbon cooler uses fresh basil and mint picked from The Bell Inn’s own herb garden to perfectly complement the sweet taste of the fruit.
