Our Favourite New Forest Festivals
Whatever the weather, us Brits love a festival, so we decided to put together a list of our favourite local outdoor events, in case you were looking for things to do in the New Forest this summer…
From foodie festivals to art inspired extravaganzas, the New Forest is abuzz with festival fun during the summer months, so we’ve decided to share our favourite events in case you were keen to find things to do during your stay at our New Forest luxury hotel.
Led by the New Forest National Park Authority and local creative organisations, celebrate our beautiful New Forest surroundings at this festival of the arts in the heart our gorgeous landscape. Experience a wide range of art in interesting spaces, such as a roman villa, an ancient ship yard, an arboretum and a beach hut.

This festival, which takes place in the stunning surroundings of Pylewell Park, is a wacky, one of a kind event not to be missed by art lovers heading to the New Forest this summer. Expect to see readings from talented novelists and poet laureates; talks from exceptional historians and performances by world famous musicians, set against a backdrop of deck chairs and bars serving only the finest gin. Not only is it an enjoyable event, but Curious will take place in order to support the Coda Music Trust, a local charity, which uses music as a tool for personal and social change.

A family affair held on the edge of the New Forest, this summer festival is held by the gorgeous River Avon. Frequented by thousands of guests each year, this is a popular with locals and long distance travellers alike. From bowls and photography to wood carving and basket making, there will be lots of activities to enjoy beneath the summer sun. Once you’ve worked up an appetite wandering around the festival site, there will be plenty of food stalls to choose from where you can take a rest and enjoy your surroundings. Look out for the brand new, “Fordingbridge Cake Off” where you can make like Mary Berry and indulge in a moist sponge or two!

A favourite with families and lovers of all things mystical, head to the New Forest Fairy Festival for an enchanting experience to remember. With healing areas, drumming workshops, craft fun, theatre and runes, there is something for everyone. Packed full of entertainment, marvel at nature and reconnect with the earth at this annual event – and don’t forget to dress up in all your gossamer glory!

Foodie fanatics unite! This festival concerned with fruits of the sea is perfect for anyone with a taste for anything of the fish variety. Two days filled with delicious food, drink, live music and demonstrations by leading chefs, head to the festival to enjoy taste tests and views the stunning Solent.
