The Bell Inn Photo Gallery
The Bell Inn is a charming 18th-century coaching inn, converted into a luxury four-star hotel and an award-winning restaurant. We live in the heart of the New Forest, only 5 minutes away from junction 1 of the M27 – making us the perfect base for exploring all that the New Forest has to offer!
The hotel has recently been refurbished, using modern and stylish design to complement the beautiful 18th-century architecture and original features – like the flagstone floor, open fires and beamed reception rooms.

The Bell Inn offers breakfast, lunch and dinner, alongside delightful afternoon teas and light bites for those joining us from the golf course. Make your mouth water by viewing some of our delicious dishes below.
We currently have 28 en-suite bedrooms, all with contemporary furniture and stylish designs. Our rooms are split into five categories to suit their characters: Snug, Classic, Forest, Estate and Manor.
Every room has complimentary tea and coffee making facilities, and water may be requested from the bar. Many rooms can accommodate a travel cot or zed bed – just speak to our team to get this organised in advance.
We also have dog-friendly rooms on the ground floor, so you can bring your best friend along to stay.
The Bell Inn is the gateway to two outstanding 18-hole golf courses, including the oldest golf course in Hampshire. It’s at once quirky and challenging, but also delightfully playable, owing to its location in the natural heathland.
If golf isn’t your cup of tea, there are plenty of local forest walks you can enjoy, including one with our local Commoner Tom. Tom offers a unique walking tour of the local area, an opportunity to learn about how the New Forest is managed and how practising commoners live and work. This walk finishes with a hearty two-course lunch in our farmhouse restaurant, where we are proud to serve beef raised by Tom himself.
We host amazing events at The Bell Inn – from sausage and cider festivals, visits from wine connoisseurs and supper clubs, to talks from The National Trust. See upcoming events at The Bell Inn here.
The New Forest is brimming with things to do while you stay with us. If you enjoy cars, take a short drive to Beaulieu Motor Museum. If you’re more into sailing, take a tranquil cruise from Bucklers Hard. Love animals? It’s easy to visit The New Forest Wildlife Park, Longdown Activity Farm, Bolderwood Deer Sanctuary or Liberty’s Owl, Raptor & Reptile Centre.
And if you’re travelling as a family, don’t forget about Paultons Park and Peppa Pig World!
