New Forest Brownies

Try our mouth-watering chocolate brownie recipe.

Chocolate brownie

200g caster sugar

150g soft brown sugar

3 whole eggs

75g unsalted butter

200g dark chocolate

25g cocoa powder

160g plain flour

You will need a tin lined with parchment paper and the oven turned on to 180*c



Whisk the sugars and eggs together till pale and fluffy

Melt the chocolate and butter in the microwave at 20-second blasts till just melted. Be careful not to overheat

Sift the cocoa powder and flour into the egg mixture and add the chocolate

Gently fold the ingredients together till all the ingredients are incorporated, try not to lose too much of the air bubbles created from whisking the egg mix.

Using a spatula scrape all the mix into the tin and bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes

Serve warm with ice cream.
